The rookie has arrived on the scene!

Young Italian, Andrea Kimi Antonelli signed for Mercedes to take the departing Hamilton's seat. Tough shoes to fill, especially as a rookie. 

Kimi certainly went about shushing his critics in the right way! The 18 year-old delivered one of the most impressive debuts in history, something reminiscent of Lewis Hamilton's debut 18 years ago!

The conditions in Australia were far from perfect, with most of the rookies ending with a DNF. Kimi on the other hand, went from P16 on the grid to an incredible P4, finishing less than  2 seconds behind George Russell.
